From a Mom Who’s Been There
You think you know what to expect… until you actually step into All Star Worlds.
And then it hits you.
The talent. The pressure. The energy. The moment your child realizes—this is what they’ve been working for.
If this is your first time going, let me walk you through it mom-to-mom… because there are a few things I wish someone had told me.
This Isn’t Your Average Competition
All Star Worlds (Open Championship) brings in teams from everywhere.
Different countries. Different styles. Different levels of intensity.
You’ll see things that make you go,
“Okay… wow. This is another level.”
And your athlete will feel it too.
But don’t let that intimidate you, it’s actually one of the most incredible parts of the experience.
The Energy Is Next-Level
From warm-ups to awards, the atmosphere is intense in the best way.
Teams are locked in. Parents are on edge. Kids are hyping each other up one second and taking deep breaths the next.
It’s exciting… emotional… and honestly a little overwhelming at times.
But once your athlete steps on that floor?
Everything else fades away.
Your Kid Might Feel More Pressure Than Ever
This stage is different.
Not because it’s scarier, but because it means more.
They know what’s at stake. They know the level of competition. And they want to prove they belong there.
You might see nerves you don’t usually see.
That’s normal.
And truthfully? It means they care.
It’s About More Than the Score Sheet
Of course everyone wants to win.
But Worlds has a way of reminding you really quickly that this sport is about more than placements.
It’s about:
The bond between teammates
The months (and years) of work that got them there
The pride of stepping on that floor knowing they earned it
Those are the moments that stick.
Let’s Talk About the Part No One Prepares You For
I’m going to say this with love… because I’ve lived it.
Not every team will make it to Day 2, and that’s okay.
But that doesn’t mean it won’t hurt.
I know firsthand how hard it is to watch your child go from excitement and anticipation… to watching the finalist reveal video and not seeing their team’s name.
It’s one of those moments where your heart breaks a little for them.
You want to fix it. You want to make it better.
But here’s the truth…
That Moment Builds Something Bigger
As hard as it is, that experience becomes a turning point.
Because what comes out of it is powerful.
It pushes them to work harder, not out of pressure, but out of purpose.
It teaches them how to lean on their teammates when things don’t go the way they hoped.
It builds resilience… the kind you can’t teach in practice.
And slowly, you’ll see it:
They come back stronger. More determined. More connected as a team.
It’s Not the End of Their Story
That disappointment? It doesn’t define them.
It fuels them.
And I promise you, there is nothing more powerful than an athlete who knows what it feels like to fall short… and chooses to come back anyway.
Soak Up Every Second
Take the pictures. Cheer loud. Cry if you need to.
Because whether your team makes Day 2 or not…
Making it to All Star Worlds is something not everyone gets to experience.
And one day, you’ll look back and realize
This wasn’t just about a routine or a placement.
It was about watching your child grow into someone stronger, braver, and more resilient right in front of you.
